Located in the centre of Romania, in Sibiu, the ASTRA National Museum Complex is one of the largest open-air museums in our country.
Covering more than 90 hectares, the Astra Museum gives visitors a glimpse of rural life throughout the country, with more than 400 houses, outbuildings and technical installations.
The interiors of the houses are well preserved and illustrate the simple life of Romanian peasants.
With a lake and more than ten kilometres of paths, the museum offers a variety of leisure activities: horse-drawn sleigh and cart rides, restaurants and playgrounds.
The lush greenery helps people breathe fresh air, and forget the usual hustle and bustle of the city.
