Roman Catholic Church of Sibiu is one of the top travel destinations in the city

One of the main buildings of the square, the Roman Catholic Church is built in Baroque style and dates from 1726-1733. The first Roman Catholic church to be allowed to function in Sibiu after the Reformation, it was originally a Jesuit foundation serving Austrian troops and administration officials stationed here. The church is attended by a mixed congregation of Romanians, Hungarians and Germans.
